its even worse in Canada we have a monopoly on purpose...Bell canada is offering fiber in certain areas but don't seem to want to change the formula....its pathetic

I want internet data to not be controlled or throttled by ISPs because there can be a conflict of interest. Just sell your service and move along.

Can be a conflict? There already is:
Comcast (and TimweWarner) have products/media that competes with Netflix, hulu, youtube, etc. Comcast w/TW controls ~60% of broadband house holds in the US.

The whole thing is riddled w/lobbyists and shady politicians. Americans are the ones who will meanwhile be getting screwed.

ISP's should be regulated as Common Carriers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_carrier) and nothing short of that.
