I have been banned from the server and as a long time admin of the GibGames server I can tell you that YES! I tk'd Germaine 2x deliberately and as such I deserved to get banned. If I would have seen what I did without seeing what Germaine did I would have done the same thing.

First, I should explain that I am a total noob to Desert Combat. Actually first day playing. Different weapons, different vehicles, different maps, and it is taking me some time to adjust.

Second, I tk'd Germaine because he totally pissed me off. He kept honking the horn in the vehicle and repeatedly tried to run me over. I kept saying negative and tried to ignore him but after he tk'd me once with the car then took the plane when it spawned I ignored it....some time later same scenario... on the fourth time...he keeps hitting me with the car and finally after having only one bar of health left I took the zook and killed his punk butt. I of course get the long spawn time and...you guessed it he gets the jet....at which point I zooked his jet as he was taking off. At which point he map ended and Tactitian tried to ban me... he had to try again the next map...I tried to explain but, he wasn't listening....and on Gibs I would have done the exact same thing.

Third, what I should have done was switch sides and/or reported to an admin what was happening, and hunted him until I felt the issue was resolved....

I have no problem with the ban that Tactician gave me....I dont really know who the admins are on the server yet. I will get better at this game and I thank you for taking the time to read my post.

IMO, Germaine should get the same treatment that I did but, I understand how difficult it can be to admin a public server and realize that you can't shoot all the ducks in the flock with one shot....you will get to him eventually.

You're probably not perma banned. You practically have to assassinate the pres for that to happen. If you're representing your situation accurately they'll probably give you another chance.

I'm posting here to say I've witnessed this behavior from Germaine on many occasions. For instance, a few Saturdays ago I watched him at the start of El Al spawn in the spawn chopper take off and land in front of the Mirage and the Mig. He then jumped out and took off in the SU...there wasn't an admin present and that round degenerated into a tk fest. All because of this d-bag.

On second thought the player may have been GER. I think it was Germaine, but since they pull the same crap when admins aren't present I've mentally lumped them into the same category.

I'm pretty sure it said 3 day ban when I got banned. And, as I said, Tactician did what he thought was right, I would have done the same. It actually made me laugh to be on the other side of a ban...and then realize that wow, other than the forum you really don't get a whole lot of time to defend your actions. It will make me a better admin. It's funny how, even when you know better, some bonehead can make you lose focus just long enough to get even.

Being an admin often makes you feel like a babysitter and takes away from the enjoyment of the game and I do respect his actions.

With that said, Germaine will get his, eventually enough people will come forward about his actions and realize that he is instigating a lot of the problems.

If an admin isn't present during that game, take a SS or fraps if you have it and post it on the forums or send it to us at ea117dcfanfavorites@hotmail.com.

I can assure you that we will look at it and ban from there if it is justified.

Well, thank you very much. I actually wasn't trying to get unbanned so much as to let Tactician know that he was doing a good job...and to voice my opinion on the boards of how I should have handled it so that others might learn from my moment of insanity.

Your ban was for 3 days but I unbanned you because you didn't come here making excusess.

As far as being new to DC, you will learn alot of the people that frequent this server. We have players that are awesome in tanking, infantry, helo piloting, dog fighting, shilka whoring (Reamers ) and just about any other aspect that the game has to offer.

Simple enough, I can certainly ask for an admin and either not respawn or respawn to the other team. As for Germaine, whatever you guys normally do is fine with me. He probably forgot his meds. Thanks again guys cya on the battlefield!
